On tap at The Greats of Craft NYC, pours a deep dark brown with a large beige head. Aroma has soft toasted bread and some gentle nuttiness. Flavour is dry and malty, with lots of crusty bready malt, toasted malt, and a hint of nuttiness. Very dry and bready finish. Very well-made.

On tap at The Greats of Craft NYC, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a medium white head. Aroma has lots of spicy Saaz upfront, straw, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is well-hopped, with spicy hops, plenty of floral notes, and crisp biscuity malt. Spicy, floral, and crisp. Very good.

Junction Road store. Aromas are very mild with hints of resin and citrus. Flavors are like nose, bitter up front with some bittersweet in the middle and slightly more sweet than bitter at the end. Nothing special at all.

I don't see OEC beers often but the ones I have had before have been pretty fair. This time I have Noc to try, a 12 oz can I got from Half Time. I'm using a snifter on this sampling, the tab is lifted and the pour follows. The body is a dark shiny mahogany with amber highlights topped by a thin cover of light tan foam. A sniff and I determine baked bread, malt and a touch of woodiness. The drink follows the formula of the style and that is not a bad thing. Scorched bread, licorice, malt, hops and wood again. Decent but it is hard to stand out in this style.
