Pours hazy gold into a stein. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Tart lemon aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and butterscotch front to back. Mild, earthy finish.

12 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thanks Tom?? The flavor is sweet & sour, sour oak, dirty socks and leans on the Flemish style. Medium to lighter bodied. Huge oaky finish with sour red wine notes, oak tannins. This is correctly made it’s just a style I really don’t like.

16 ounce can. Aroma of tart lemon and sourwheat.. Taste is sour wheat, lemon rind, citrus pith and soft lactic acid. Nice pucker in finish. Tart and very refreshing. Light body and extremely easy to drink.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thank you Tom! Nice color. Aroma is toasted green and soft baked bread. Flavor is that with the addition of soft coffee in a very mild spice and in the finish. Get very little in the way of funk or open fermented wild yeast. Still quite tasty.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thank u Tom! Aroma is sweet, green, and mild woodsy hints. Cracker and soft honey like malt background with real soft oak, subtle herb in the finish. Medium bodied lager with a crisper texture. A touch sweet but really easy to drink on a warm afternoon.

Undated can drunk 8/8/24. Lightly cloudy, brass-bronze-golden. Medium-sized, white head, steadily to ring. Round spice and gently fruity lime without any big acid, crude yeast or that sort of thing. Biscuity malts with a bit of honey seem well-done. Clean. Approaching more of a spiced Belgian blonde. Not all that witbier-like, as in, not too much of that crappy bubble gum and banana and clove. More malt-focused, with gentle lime and gentle spice folded in nicely. Clean, well-attenuated, good malt depth.

Undated can drunk 8/8/24. Lightly chill-hazed, deep bronze-copper. Giant, off-white head, well-retained. Piney-accented hops with light fruitiness, though not getting much in the way of tropical notes. Do get a lot of crystal/caramel malt adding biscuit, very minor toast and iced tea, much to my chagrin. Seems like one of the East Coast IPAs from 2006. But it's clean, pleasant, floral, no excess of pine nor resin. Ok, ok, this might just work! The wheat and oats actually help to mitigate the crystal malts. Whereas this style is usually too dry, scratchy, toasty and lacking in base malt depth and softness, there is an attempt at base malt sweetness and the oats definitely comfort the palate. Low bitterness with mild fruits and mild pine. Well-made, for sure and a nice change of pace.

Bottle shared in Canaan. Cheers to Rick. Pours lightly hazed red-gold with a foamy, white head. Light sweet flavour with modest acidity, berries, a nip of pale wood. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean, quenching finish, more tart berries. Tasty.
