Pounder from GBX after Clark told me this brand was cool. Mojito glass @home. Densely dark brown with some ruby highlights. Short but lingering froth. Brown bread, cola, faintly herbal, subliminal anise spice. Thin, bittersweet leaning astringent. Cola plus the acidity, fresh walnuts, mild peppery hops, lingering un-toasted brown bread sweetness. A hair too acidic but I much prefer this over the roasted Schwarzbiers everywhere masquerading as Tmavy. Good.

375ml bottle from my Secret Santa. Slurpy, thick, plum dirt brown, lingering sexy cookie froth. Chocolate cherry porter nose. I think I read that this blend starts out as a porter. As it warms, the red wine becomes more & more potent. Rich & tart cherry juice, bittersweet veg, Pinot without the heat, beef stock, bittersweet apple tannins, brown ale, lingering citrus rind & a faint oxidation that is pretty mild for what's all involved. Really lux feel, extra frothy, old but not clenching acidity. This is just lovely.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Hazy, yellow gold pour. Frothy white head. Earthy, sourdough bread aroma. Flavor is rustic and malty. Notes of oak, lemon, light minerality and white peppercorns. Fairly complex for the style. Very enjoyable.

16 oz. can. Aroma has mild pale crackery malt maybe a touch of honey. Smooth German lager yeast with light sweet grain and homey notes. Really pleasant and well made. Highly drinkable!
