Bottle shared thanks to my brother. Black with big tan head. Lots of vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, light bourbon, light spices, briwn sugar. Quite sweet but also quite bitter. Full bodied. A bit rough which is half hidden by a ton of vanilla.

Amber colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour are predominantly malty and sweet with a touch of caramel. Very much in the style of a Belgian Blond and in no wayfunky as mentioned on the label.

0.33 l bottle from 'Sterk Avondverkoop', bottled in January 2021. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and gently fruity aroma of caramel, dark fruits and a touch of vanilla. Rather sweet, malty, gently roasty and slightly fruity taste of caramel, dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, some coconut and a touch of dark fruits, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly warming, minimally earthy and a little boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant even if very sweet, has that typical Jopen candy/yeast touch. What's the pastry though?!

0.75 l bottle from 'vogelbeschermingshop.nl', bottled in October 2020. Hazy, orangeish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, rather fruity, a little yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, peach, mango and light vanilla. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, quite fruity taste of mango, peach, orange and hints of banana, followed by a short, gently bitter, a bit grassy a little yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty 'Blond', leaning towards APA.
