Description
Founded in 2008, Camba originally served as showroom for brewery plant manufacturer BrauKon. Markus Lohner, founder of BrauKon and Camba, used the small brewery located in Truchtlaching to demonstrate clients from all over the world what BrauKon brewing equipment could do. With success: Camba soon became one of the first breweries in Germany to brew international beer styles and a pioneer of the German craft beer scene. In 2016, Camba Bavaria and BrauKon had to find a bigger location and moved to the village of Seeon,

Rate 3.6 buying it at Munich, Kiste Getränkmarkt, best before 09/25, a typical Belgian wheat beer, medium body, wheat, spicy, note of orange peel, herbal, normal bitterness, drinking it during the supper after a busy day with the work .

Can 44 cl. Pours a clear black with an orange hue and a neat, creamy and lacing beige head. Citrusy hop aroma with a hint of licorice and roast. Body is a little thin but with good licorice roast. Yeasty with little bitterness. Not sure I get the Black NEIPA, let's call it a Black Pale Ale as it neither has the hops nor the body for a NEIPA. 081225

Can 44 cl. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a gigantic, frothy and lacing white head with good retention. Very yeasty nose - as in Belgian Blond / Wit. Light body, soft mouthfeel, but pretty flat, citrus notes but mainly just massively yeasty. No real bitterness. Has absolutely nothing to do with a Brut IPA. 081225

Can picked up from Äpfel Getrankemarkt, Moosburg and consumed at home Sunday 30th November 2025 after a fab' few days in Frank in Freising and München, including watching Bayern Munich v St Pauli. We're listening to a Shoegaze playlist, we had Nidi di Tagliatelle al forno (baked pasta nests). Pours almost clear golden with a mid size white head. Nice Aroma, a whisper of citrus, hint of maltiness, light clean hoppy touches, nice. Nice mouthfeel, good carbonation, bitterness is there but could be a bit more pushy and crispness lacks a little also, light herbiness, a touch of citrus. Is 6%, really Imperial? A good beer, it's a solid pils but a few little tweaks could improve it further.

Can picked up from Fristo Getrankemarkt Freising and consumed at home Sunday 30th November 2025 after a fab' few days in Frank in Freising and München, including watching Bayern Munich v St Pauli. We're listening to Adorable - Against Perfection and later cooking Nidi di Tagliatelle al forno (baked pasta nests). Pours hazy mid gold, huge foamy white head, sticky and clinging to the sides of the glass. Great bitterness, this is a very good interpretation of a West Coast IPA, they've nailed it. Piney, resinous and with a wonderful bitter streak throughout, lovely hoppiness, great balance. Lovely beer.
