Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a dense, two-finger, off-white head over a clear, golden body with some microfloaties. The aroma is on the citrusy side, with a good addition of peaches. Some pale malts as well. Pleasant sweetness in the flavor, with a good bitterness and hoppy flavors like peaches and grapefruit peel. Full to medium body, pleasant carbonation. Medium length finish with bitterness, peaches and grapefruit. A really pleasant German pale ale. 110416

Bottle @ Ulfborg Easter Tasting, 2011. Pours hazy orange with a small white head and lacings. Grassy and hoppy fruity nose and flavor. Really nice. Smooth and dry. Good.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It’s a slightly unclear one, golden in color and with a small, beige head. The aroma is piney and citrusy, some maltyness in the back. A bit sweet on the palate, some alcohol shining through, and the hops dominating. Nicely bitter, lasting for a good while. Citrus peel, pine cones and some pale malts too. A really pleasant one, nothing I’d expect from Germany. Hopefully there will be more IPA’s in Germany, but I also hope they won’t destroy the German beer culture. 110415
