Description
Founded in 2008, Camba originally served as showroom for brewery plant manufacturer BrauKon. Markus Lohner, founder of BrauKon and Camba, used the small brewery located in Truchtlaching to demonstrate clients from all over the world what BrauKon brewing equipment could do. With success: Camba soon became one of the first breweries in Germany to brew international beer styles and a pioneer of the German craft beer scene. (swing top bottle) Hazy, dark amber colour with a big and dense tanned foamy head. Citrus-fruity and piney hoppy aroma with herbal nettle-spicy notes and a mildly sweet cara-malty background. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, surprisingly light bodied for the abv with a pleasantly smooth carbonation. Rounded cara-malty base with presence of aromatic noble hops including fruity, piney and spicy elements; almost dry, moderately bitter finish with a balanced residual malty sweetness and exotic fruity notes in the aftertaste. Exciting not only by German standards and highly recommended. 08.XII.10

BĂĽgelverschluĂźflasche: Literally black, medium-sized stable fluffy tanned head; moderate ashy-toasty nose with a balancing (sweet) fruitiness like caused by dried berries; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour; light bodied, soft; roasty finish, cacaopowder detectable, with a sweetish-fruity counterweight. Tasty bavarian Stout.....

BĂĽgelverschluĂźflasche: Deep ruby amber coloured, presumably hazy, small to medium-sized loose off-white head; sourish-fruity nose with roasty aromas and a shy hoppy background; solid sweet-bitter flavour, quite full bodied, smooth; robust and rich lingering fruity and roasty finish with an illusion of bitter chocolate in the aftertaste. Very fine, more of this.....

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, golden colour with a huge and slightly off-white frothy head. Yeasty and pronounced wheat-malty aroma with traces of cara-malt, bready notes and a delicately fruity touch of banana. Mildly sweet flavour with a touch of acidity, rather light bodied with a mellow carbonation. Present wheat-character with a whiff of cara-malt and banana-fruity notes; sweet and slightly sour-fruity finish wheaty finish with a slightly clove-spicy touch. A decent and rounded Hefeweizen. 27.X.10

bottle from biershop-bayern. Chestnut-amber colour, creamy off-white head. Malty nose with lots of lovely bitter hop elements. Full-bodied, hints of nuts, fruit (berries), aromatic and bitter hops doinate the lingering finish. Very similar so some very good DĂĽssedorf Alts.
