Founded in 2008, Camba originally served as showroom for brewery plant manufacturer BrauKon. Markus Lohner, founder of BrauKon and Camba, used the small brewery located in Truchtlaching to demonstrate clients from all over the world what BrauKon brewing equipment could do. With success: Camba soon became one of the first breweries in Germany to brew international beer styles and a pioneer of the German craft beer scene. In 2016, Camba Bavaria and BrauKon had to find a bigger location and moved to the village of Seeon,

Very hazy golden blonde coloured body with a nice white 1 centimetre tall head. Aroma of bananas, cloves, curacao and a bit of yeast. Medium-bodied; Nice fresh wheat taste with plenty of good wheat flavours coming out nicely. Aftertaste clean and refreshing with a good spicey taste tucked into that sublime wheat flavour. Overall, nice to try in Germany, even though I wasn’t in Bavaria. I sampled this 33 cL glass on draught at Gasthaus zum Eisernen Steg in Frankfurt-Am-Main, Germany on 21-February-2009.

Bottle @ Odense Tasting, March 2011. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Nose is sweet malty. Buiscuit , fruit, hay and a touch of diacetyl. Very smooth palate. Sweet malty.

Bottle @ J&C, Friday session, 2011. Thanks. Pours unclear golden with a small creamy white head. Grain and grass. Sweet anf fruity. Very easy drinkable with a smooth palate. Good.

Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, nutty, light roasted malt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, dusty, caramel - roasted, burnt caramel notes. Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a clear, dark golden body and a small, off-white head. Banana on the nose, with a touch of bubble gum and cloves. Some wheat as well. The flavor has banana and some cloves. A little lemony sourness too. Short banana finish. Medium body with appropriate carbonation. A quite nice one, at least considering its ABV. 110320

Bottle 75cl. @ yespr blindtasting. [ Bottle #12. ]Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, wood - oak, earth, bourbon - sugar ! light licorice - licorice konfekt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, alcohol, licorice konfekt, earthy notes.
