This oat porter poured a deep amber near black colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include malt, and lots of it, molasses, light cocoa and caramel. First swig was nice and malty but a tad thin. Flavours of malt, caramel, minimal ripe fruit and brown sugar. It’s all about the malt in this one… Finish is a bit thin as well with those malt flavours lingering. All in all, very drinkable.

This amber poured a deep dark amber colour with a creamy, off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include ripe fruit, must, nuts and a little wine. First swig was quite flavourful. Tastes of nuts, must, dough and a little ripe fruit. Finish is malty, with those mild ripe fruit flavours and a hint of bitterness that lingers.

This DIPA poured a hazy deep amber colour with a creamy, bright white head. Nice lacing. Scents include citrus and lots of it. A little malt, spice and a little cooked veggies. First swig was quite hoppy. Almost acidic. Flavours of citrus, grass hops with a little honey. Finish is really bitter with orange rind flavours lingering. Why breweries make beer this bitter/hoppy I’ll never know.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include molasses, burnt toast, coffee and dark chocolate. First swig was very roasted/burnt. Slightly sweet, flavours of Melloids cough drops, coffee and burnt toast. Finish is ashen with roasted slightly sweeter malt flavours lingering.

This raspberry blonde poured a red colour with a pink, creamy head. Minimal lacing. Scents include raspberry jam, light hop and soda water. First swig was slightly watery, flavours of raspberries and light beer. Finish is very lightly bitter with nothing but raspberry jam lingering.

This IPA poured a hazy, light yellow colour with a creamy, bright white head. Nice lacing. Scents include light citrus, pineapple, perfume and cooked veggies. First swig was really light, with flavours of light hops, light citrus and a little hay. With a splash of tea. Finish is thin with hop flavours lingering.

This IPA poured a clean, clear medium yellow colour with a nice lacing of white cream. Scents include citrus being, pineapple, orange and lemon with a hint of grass. First swig was very smooth with strong citrus flavours of pineapple and grass. Finish is medium bitter with those grassy hops lingering forever.

This coffee stout poured a deep black colour with a big, creamy tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include nuts, coffee, toast and smoke. First swig was smooth and creamy with delicious dark roasted coffee flavours along with burnt toast, a little licorice and mild cocoa. Finish is nice and burnt with smokey coffee flavours lingering.

This lager poured a medium amber colour with a creamy, white head. Decent lacing. Scents include caramel, dough and a little cereal. First swig was pretty good. Slightly sweet, malt and cereal flavour most prominent. Finish is quite malty with a slight toasty flavour that lingers. On a side note, the last time I had this back in the early 90s it was a very Thick and black beer, and they ALL tasted different. Not sure what kind of beer it was, black lager? Porter?

Flavours of caramel, plastic and a little cocoa. Finish is toasty with light caramel flavours lingering. Not as good as the Dutchman’s Alt boys...
