Can courtesy of Deanso. Poured a dark reddish brown with a broken off white head. The aroma is malty. The flavour is medium bitter, with some liqourice and smoky spice. Not so bad actually.

33cl can shared by Arve_Christian. Pours clear yellow with a white head. Drinkable, but certainly not the best Vietnamese beer I have tried. A bit watery and doesn’t taste very much. (2009-09-18)

Deep cola coloured body with a thin and relatively fast-dying tan head - strong brownish appearance that shows nicely. Aroma of earth, nuts, candies, grapes, cola and a few more interesting notes - much stronger and pleasant that most Vietnamese beers. Light-bodied; Assertive malty flavour with cereal, malt, grain, alcohol, metal and some other bitterness soon following. Aftertaste shows the metal right up front with a pungent kick of minerals, a touch of coffee and roasty malt and a finish of earth and a handful of change. Overall, an interesting Vietnamese beer, kind of an oxymoron, but if I sampled this after 20 pale lagers and had 20 of them to follow, this would easily be the standout beer. But, as I’m drinking this back at home on the other side of the world - this isn’t so great. I sampled this 330 mL can purchased at FiviMart in Hanoi, Vietnam on 18-August-2010 sampled back home on the other side of the world in Washington on 14-July-2011.
