Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear yellow with a rough white head. Bland aroma of brewing cereal and a vague whiff of ginger. Medium body, sweet brewing cereal, a little sulphur and absolutely no bitterness. 141109

Bottle, 4.8%. Clear yellow colour. The flavour is slightly citric with a strange faint elderberry aftertaste. Not bad tasting, though.

bottle, pours pale gold, thin white head. Skunk and adjunct aroma. Watery pale malt with a skunky/sour peach kind of finish. Unpleasant and thin.

Interesting 33cl bottle from Asda, Andover. Standard lager look - staw coloured, soft white head, lots of fizz; grassy hop aroma; sweet and smooth, with a trace of honey and citrus, but nothing to finish. Better than expected, not just a novelty bottle.

Bottle that I picked up from Asda, Peterborough, Cambs’ recently Great bottle. Pours golden with a small white head. Really sweet tasting was my initial thought, sweet, syrupy, corny, touch metallic, I must be feeling generous I’ve given it 2.5 Its far from great but I suppose its better than I expected. Why? Why not? Bottle from Sun Devil in Mesa, AZ. It is a cool bottle. Brassy gold color with a firm white head. Typical pale lager aromas. Near medium body with feisty carbonation. It’s crisp and clean, suggestion of citrus in the finish. A good choice when you want this sort of thing.

Okay, so I usually don’t bother buying and/or rating anything that I know is going to be shit, but, like so many others, I just had to have the bottle - It’s a bottle shaped like Buddha, with beer inside! - how awesome is that? - you’ve got to respect a company that can produce shitty beer, AND disrespect an ancient religion simultaneously - what a super cool, post-modern conflation of sacred iconography and modern consumer culture - how incredibly pornographic - but wait, let’s not stop here - why not bottles of birth control pills shaped like the virgin Mary’s head, or canned hams in the shape of the Star of David? - and why limit ourselves to containers? - how about toilet paper with the Koran written on it, or tampons in the shape of Shiva, Vishnu, and other Hindu Gods? - GOD THIS BEER SUCKS - .........and why the hell is this Buddha beer made in Australia!?

Bottle (green Buddha shaped!). Pale, little head. Very light on flavour. What little flavour there was was reasonably well balanced. Recommended as having been brewed to go well with Asian food (whatever that means). Nothing to recommend it, but nothing particularly offensive about it, just very bland and pointless.
