Bottle 50 cl. Pours a thick, opaque black with a light brown head. Roaring booze in the nose atop sweet roast and raisin syrup. Rich body, sweet rich roast, molasses, oxidized, wood - but also an unclean, lurking tartness. Lowish carbonation. Delicious but a bit brutal in alcohol. 251221

Bottle bought at Egeskov Julemarked (as batch #20). Pours hazy dark chestnut with medium light orange head. Aroma is malt, caramel, brown sugar, lemon and hints of fresh spruce and milk chocolate. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter and light acidic. Body is oily with medium carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes of malt, caramel brown sugar, yeast, alcohol, iron, raisin, figs, spice (cinnamon, nutmeg), lemon and fresh spruce. A bit too rough - might improve if kept until next Christmas (too late though...)

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque, murky dark brown with a beige head. Lovely aroma, complex overripe fruit and oxidation and quite some hops. Rich, fat body, burned caramel, oveeripe fruit and prunes yet with quite some balancing hops. Super delish. 111221

Taste is very sweet, light bitter, light acidic and faint salty. Body is oily with fizzy carbination. Finish is long and very sweet with intense malt, sweet cherry, vanilla, oak, salty caramel, syrup and brown sugar.

This is my x.mas beer rating no 17 21/22.For me it's not the best beer ever,but when we talk about xmas beer this is how it must be.Muddy brown colour with small off white head.Aroma of caramel,spices and dry fruit malt brown sugar and yeast nice.
