Tap @ the brewpub. Dark brown body under a dense beige head. Strong aroma of malt and lots of chocolate, some nuts with a hint of pine. Taste is quite smooth with malt, chocolate, toast, dry fruit and balanced bitterness. Fine body and aftertaste. A pleasant, food friendly brown ale.

Tap @ the brewpub. Slightly unclear golden body under a finger thick, dense white head. Mild aroma, not much besides some pale malt and hint of general fruitiness. Taste is light, soft pale malt with general fitness and mild bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Not very exciting, but sure an easy drinkable thirst quencher. Decent.

On tap at the brewpub. A dark, dark brown one, with a finger thick beige head leaving lacing. The aroma has roasted malts, toffee, dark dried fruit, a faint spiced and herbal hint. Some dark bread and a touch of chocolate. It's full bodied and smooth, perhaps a bit heavily carbonated, and semi-dry. Roasted malts, toffee, some dark chocolate and a touch of dark bread and coffee. Dark dried fruit, mostly prunes, too. Long finish. A nice Christmas beer indeed. 221119

Tap @ the brewpub. Slightly unclear golden body under a fine, lacing, white head. Lively carbonation. Aroma has mild citric fruit, very mild, no particular kind of fruit aroma recognized. Taste has light, mild malt, mild fruity hops and light bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. By all means, a rather light and refreshing thirst quencher, but really not much going on here. Not sure about the west coast IPA/modern IPA references – without knowing it this could be hoppy blond, hoppy lager or some kind of session pale ale flavor wise in my book.

Tap @ Brygghuset. Hazy yellow body under a firm white head. Aroma is strong on tropical and citric fruit. Taste is sweet pale malt, peach, mango, oranges and relatively bitter. Balanced body with a sweet, fruity and bitter aftertaste. Fair enough but rather one-dimensional.
