Jeg går planken på Christianssands Brygghus: brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Deilig, røstet aroma og smak med mørke 70%-sjhokolader, kaffe, vanilje, kanel og rom. Superbalansert og meget forførende. Den beste på planken.

Christianssand Brygghus 100822. Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, coffee. Flavor is roasted malt, caramel, bread, coffee, pine, grapefruit, toffee. Bitter finish. OK beer.

Tap @ the brewpub. Hazy brown body under a small, lacing tan head. Aroma has distinct chocolate with hint of coffee. Taste is mild, smooth milk chocolate, coffee, light roasted malt, green coffee beans (or perhaps a hint of vegetables) and some bitterness. Balanced body and fine aftertaste. Nothing complex but quite enjoyable with a fine taste.

Tap @ the brewpub. Hazy golden body under a decent white head. Mild aroma with yeast and something that feels like soap. Taste has fruity yeast, some citric fruit, grain and esters. Medium to thin body and short in aftertaste. Drinkable but not impressive, would never have guessed on Kölsch in a blind test with this.

Tap @ the brewpub. Hazy orange body under a fine, stable, dense, lacing off-white head. Nice, strong fruity aroma, dominated by tropical fruits, mango and ripe peaches. Not much more detected from aroma, but that’s this style. Taste is refreshing fruity like aroma, moderate bitterness and really not much more. Fine balanced body and fruity aftertaste with a tad more bitterness. Nice NEIPA within its style, really fruity, can almost feel the fruit pulp. One dimensional of course but I enjoyed this one a hot summer afternoon after work.
