On tap at the brewpub. It’s a dark amber one, hazy, topped by a dense, creamy, finger-thick off-white head. Lacings. The aroma is lightly roasted and toffeeish, with a decent fruityness. Fruity-sweet flavor with caramel, roasted malts, some figs and generic dried fruits and a nice bitterness. Full body, soft and with a nice carbonation. Bitter, fruity finish with a faint roasted touch. Pretty decent this one, not much of a Belgian style ale though. 140525

On tap at the brewpub. A dark golden to amber colored beer with a creamy, finger-thick light beige head leaving lacings. There’s some diacetyl in the aroma, a toffee-ish sweetish touch, fruityness and some pine cones and orange zest. Nice piney and citrus peel hoppyness in the flavor, some resins too, as well as some sweetness and a nice bitterness. It’s full-bodied, dryish yet with a stickyness, and a nice creamy carbonation. Lasting finish. A tasteful beer indeed, lovely bitterness, but a bit malty for me. 140525

On tap at the brewpub. It’s an unclear, orange-golden beer with a creamy, two-finger white head on top. Coriander, oranges, some wheat and a fruity sweet touch in the aroma. The flavor has some bitterness, a tad too much sweetness for the style, and a good dash of oranges and coriander. It’s mediuim bodied, rather dry and with a pleasant carbonation level. Bitter, fruity finish. Overall, a bit too sweet, but sure nice and easy drinkable anyway. 140525

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear, dark orange-golden beer topped by a two-finger, creamy, off-white head leaving curtains. Banana, some lemon peel, wheat and a faint note of yeast and spices in the aroma. The flavor has a nice bitterness as well as a fruity sweetness, with banana, a touch of lemon and a spiced, yeasty hint. It’s very soft on the palate, creamy and semi-sweet, but it dries up towards the rather bitter finish. An unusual Belgo-style ale, but it’s nice and tasteful anyway. 140525

Solid sinful thick oily black liquid, with a fine tan head that ends up in a small layer. Nice aroma. Chocolate, coffee, oak and mild peat. Complex and tasty flavor. A lot of the same. Chocolate, some licorice, dark malt, espresso, oak and mild peat. Really powerful and nice impy!

Hazy deep (amber) golden color with a fine off white head that gives a nice lacing down the glass. Looks inviting. A bit to rich fruity aroma. Killed the hopp aroma a little bit. Thick nice body. Slightly sweet and a fine bitterness. Quite balanced in that aspect. Also quite fresh despite the sweet fruity flavor. Nice powerful IPA.
