14.02.2014, tap @ Café Sara:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly grassy, leafs, lots of hops, newly cut lawn, malts, hints of rubber. Taste is slightly dry and harsh, old leafs, grass, hops, dark malts, rubber, hints of licorice and coffee. Longlasting mild bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.

Medium sized glass, on tap at Café Sara. Tan-coloured head with fine duration and moderate lacing. All-black body. Pine and black malts on the nose. Pine needles to the taste character nicely balanced by slightly roasted dark malts. Long-lived bittersweet ending. Well-bodied. Excellent version of the style (Oslo 12.02.2014).

On tap at the brewpub. Nice curtains from the light beige head. Clear, amber colored body. Some sugar in the aroma, yeast, caramel hints and a nice fruityness. Some alcohol. It’s a bit sweet on the palate, with pleasant yeast and fruit notes. Full body and soft carbonation, some warmth. Lasting finish. Too warm and a tad sweet, but with the appropriate saison-style farmhouse touch. 140216

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a very dark brown body and a creamy, beige head. The aroma is lightly roasted, with a nice hoppyness, pine cones and grapefruit. Mostly hoppy flavor too, with roasted malts as a backdrop. Grapefruit and pine cones and a solid bitterness. Full bodyand a very smooth carbonation. Long hoppy finish. A very fine black IPA. 140216

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear golden-orange beer with a creamy, finger thich off-white head. Pretty weak aroma with some tropical fruits and sugary malts. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, as well as a sweetish maltyness. Tropical fruits. Full body, smooth carbonation. Mostly bitter finish with some fruits. Easy drinkable but a bit too neutral. 140216
