Dark red-brown, slight haze, richer caramel type aroma. Soft, leans heavily into the caramel. I appreciate what they are trying here, it’s better than Rickard’s, more body.

Dark brown, toasty, some depth of acidity. Chocolate. Not bad…the whiskey came in late.

Slight haze, light mango, the hab isn’t bad, fruity, a light heat…balance is right but I’d dig if both were stronger.

Bright red, medium head, nice bright hop nose, sweeter on the palate, but medium bitterness and while the hop is more muddled on the palate it’s not bad.

On tap at The Growlery, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma has some resinous hops, bready malt, and a touch of toasted caramel. Flavour has a reasonable hop expression, some floral notes, and dry bready caramel. Good hop expression but on the timid side for the style. Solid.

On tap at The Growlery, pours a red-tinged dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has some toasted malt and a touch of oats. Flavour is like a typical dry Irish stout, with toasted malt and very subtle whiskey. Dry, toasty, not much depth, but inoffensive.

On tap at The Growlery, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has sweet canned peaches upfront, cut by the habanero. Flavour is more fruity than spicy, with juicy peaches, a light habanero, not much body though. Inoffensive but underwhelming.

4.3/10 Appearance 6 Aroma 4 Flavor 4 Texture 4 Overall 4
On tap at The Growlery, pours a clear dark amber with a small white head. Aroma is gentle, with soft bready malt, some sweet caramel. Flavour is drier, with bready malt and a bitter finish. Poor hop expression. Useless beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours very dark brown with a beige head. Roasted malts and some whiskey notes on the nose. Flavour has dry roasted malts, gentle whiskey notes. Light body. Nice profile, but still fairly light-bodied and uncomplex.
