Growler share. Went in with a buddy and bought at Rt 116 Wine & Spirits.
My portion was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a hazy burnt dark orange close to brown color with a slight transparency about it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace. Lacing gets stringy after the head dissipated.
The smell starts off with a sweet to bitter piney to orange rind and then a light grapefruit peel combining with a nice caramel malt backbone.
The taste leaned towards the bitter side of the orange and grapefruit rind-like qualities and then making a decent effort to balance with the caramel malt backbone. The aftertaste was balanced between the malt and the hop bitterness.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable to sipping quality about it. Carbonation runs light letting the hop bitterness impound enough harshness on my tongue.
Overall, its a good DIPA worthy of coming back to, but nothing over the top.

Clear amber-golden body has a large white head that shows moderate retention.
Citrus and definite caramel notes in the nose could stand to be a bit more dry, though I guess the juiciness of the hops is somewhat enjoyable. Minerals and a bit of yeastiness are noted, with little/no alcohol.
Rather straightforward caramel-meets citrus in the flavor belies the excitement of the lemon drop hops. Perhaps there’s a bit of tangerine and earthy/leafiness a la Mosaic, but it dosent have much staying power and the body is a bit big and the sugars a touch underattenuated. Fine and drinkable, but rather forgettable in light of being brewed in the world’s IPA capital.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy pale orange color with a one and a half finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. Light lacing speckles the sides and slides into the beer.
The smell starts off with some citrus running into some caramel malts nicely.
The flavor was moderately sweet with an ample amount of bitterness combining and tasting nice. There’s a little bit of citrus aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a little bit of carbonation hitting just right. Good bitterness to lead the harsh side of things.
Overall, I was expecting it to be one of those \"rolling rock\" type beers (I see XPA and think that), however, after a little bit of warming, it’s definitely a pretty good APA, better than I expected, I’d have this again.

Can at home in CT. Picked up over the weekend in VT. Pours cloudy, rich gold with a creamy off-white head. The aroma holds crackery pale malts, citrus peel, faint pine. Light-medium sweet flavorbwith dry and lightly grainy pale malts, melon, peach, nectarine, lemon peel, some pith, grass, pine needles. Medium bodied with average carbonation. More citrusy hops in the finish, mellow piney bitterness, some dusty pine, crackery pale malts. Just OK overall.

22 oz bottle from Winooski Beverage, 8/28/15. Cloudy orange color with a frothy, beige head and sticking, drippy lace. Kind of a gusher when I popped the bottle cap off. It has tropical fruit good, some resin notes, and a bit of sweet malt as well. Bitterness comes through over the sweetness. Average carbonation leads to a fairly dry close. Decent flavor and feel overall.

This was poured into a sample glass.
The appearance was a hazy bronzed orange color with a one finger slim white foamy head that quickly dissipated. Light clingy slightly foamy lacing glosses along the sides of the glass in a messy way.
The smell started off with sweet lemon hops. Light grassiness pervades and lets in extra slight citrusy notes. The bitterness comes from a light underscore of pine.
The taste was mainly sweet throughout and had a nice bitterness underneath through the pine. The lemon shows a light sugary aspect to it, but nothing overly done. There’s a light sweet lemon aftertaste leading into a wet sweet lemon finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionable aspect to it. The carbonation seemed good for the style and allowed a nice bitterness from the pine aspect to become the harshness over the tongue.
Overall, it hit all of the aspects of an AIPA. Its just a bit sweeter than other AIPA’s. Just realize, its the lemon drop hops that did that. Its different. I say, this could be a nice \"dessert IPA.\"

A golden ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, biscuit malt over earthy nutty notes, grassy British hops, OK. In mouth, an oily earthy biscuit malt, very roasted, light floral hops lingering bitterness, nice. On tap at Vermont Tap House.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Off white head with good retention. Resin and grapefruit aromas. Hot caramel and resin front to back.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy golden color with a finger’s worth of white foaminess of head that must linger for at least a good full minute before dissipating. Messy foamy lacing rings around the glass.
The smell had a sharp citrus rind, slight lemon, somewhat orange, slight piney hops and a bright floral quality combines nicely.
The taste was mostly bitter with light sweet citrus aspects trying to balance. There’s a semi-sweet to slight bitter citrus to pine aftertaste that leads to a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good as an APA. Dry bitterness leaves a harsh feel roaming around my tongue.
Overall, this was a good APA I could come back to.
