16 oz. can in a trade with tfontana, thanks Tom! Strange date coating on the bottom. Means nothing. Aroma is a mild citrus and very light perfume. Flavor has a lot of nondescript muted fruit. Soft herb. Slight juicy texture in the mouth. Average.

16 oz. can in a trade with tfontana, thanks Tom! Bottom of the can is stamped “Citra” Appearance is hazy yellow. Aroma is malt, old apricot, maybe pineapple. Flavor shows a large amount of sweetness, soft citrus, mild apricot. No problems here at all flavor just seems muted.

Can (20003) pour from The Beeracks. Appearance is opaque, dingy yellow-orange with a few light floaties, no sparkle and finger-width foamy white head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is lemony citrus. Taste follows aroma. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation and mostly dry, grainy finish with lingering citrus and light bitterness. Overall, pretty much just the citrus here, which isn't terribly strong. Would be disappointing for an IPA, a little less so for an APA. Would have been nice to have more complexity.

Can (19357) pour from The Beeracks. Appearance is opaque dark brown (virtually black) with nice sparkle at the edges of the glass, a few light floaties, 1/2-finger width fizzy, ephemeral tan head with no lacing. Aroma is strong earthy, roasted malts and milder coffee, maple, nutmeg. Taste is initial strong sweet maple and malts, nutmeg, later mild chocolate, coffee and nuts. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation, mild pleasant alcohol warmth and finish as taste. Overall, decent complexity though wish the aromas and flavor of each were more balanced as the roasted malt and maple dominate a bit. Maybe it's just letting you know its imperial roots! Alcohol is well hidden.

Can in a trade with tfontana, thanks Tom! Flavor shows me my lasting coffee, nutmeg throughout yet mellow. The spice is not overpowering. pretty good coffee element and the ABV is hidden. It is a Real nice stout.

Can in a trade with tfontana. Thanks Tom! Bold juicy aroma of mango, peach, apricot, and notes of malt. Flavor is large with peach, sweet pineapple, apricot like hints. Texture is massively juicy. I got to say that this can hang with the Trillium’s and Deciduous’ of New England. This is delicious! Hey brewer, if you are reading this... don’t change a thing. Wonderful recipe!

Can pour into nonic pint glass from The Beeracks. Appearance is cloudy light brown-dark orange (very juicy) with trace sparkle at the edges of the glass, a couple of dark floaties, finger-width foamy off-white head with poor retention and nice soapy lacing. Aroma is strong, sweet (stone?) fruit, citrus, malty pretzel and transient whiff of herbs. Taste is citrus, pineapple, (stone fruit?), hint of tart fruit. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste with mildest dry bitterness. Overall, strong aroma and flavor, though hard to pin down (but maybe not everything HAS to taste exactly like something else--maybe it's OK to just be sweet, fruity hops!). Thick, silky mouthfeel and decent look, too. A winner!
