Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a deep red color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had a slight roasty to smoky nose at first and then developed a little bit of dark chocolate gently blending with some nuts, and grassy hops.
The flavor seemed to do a good job of blending the prior mentioned aromas. Aftertaste was a quaint semi-sweet to roasty sort of balance. Finish was the same with a little bit of vanilla.
The palate was almost medium bodied but sat just a touch under and had a decent sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty nice Irish ale, different, but would be one I’d come back to.

The appearance was a fairly dark brown color with a finger’s worth of eggshell white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace but didn’t leave any lace.
The aroma gave off a nice blend of roasted nuts, smooth sweet caramel/toffee malts, crisp dried leaves, some toast and a little bit of earthiness at the end.
The flavor leaned into the dried sweetness at first and then developed the roast slightly. Nicely blended aftertaste and finish.
The feel was roughly medium bodied, perhaps just a touch under with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine, somewhat low, but that didn’t bother me. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty good brown ale worthy to come back to if I could get it again.
