Bottle from Bert’s I jostled the bottle and ended up with quite a hazy pour dark straw in color with a good sized long lasting bubbly white head. Huge citrus and tropical fruity aromas atop a base of sweet bready malt mixed with bits of yeasty phenol and grass. The flavor is faint bready malt with a more than firm hop bitterness that builds at the end of every sip. Grainy, grassy, bitter pith, and aspirin make up the rest of the flavors. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. This one needs some tweaking. Overpowering bitterness with nothing to balance it.

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a pale golden color with a huge bubbly beige head that persists forever. Dank resinous with a hint of onion and tannin. Bready malt aroma? Maybe? The flavor does indeed contain a bit of sweet bready malt with plenty of juicy dank resin. Smooth but firm bitterness. Light to medium body moderate carbonation. Pretty simple straight forward easy drinking mother truckin flavorful ale.

Growler and a small sample from the tap at the source. Slightly hazy dark amber/brown color with a decent sized bubbly off white head. Aromas of caramel and light chocolate with some brown sugar and some earthy hop to balance. The flavor is fairly malty with lots of caramel and brown sugar with plenty of chocolate nuances to keep me interested. Light bitterness from the roast mixed with a light earthy hopping keeps everything in balance. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Nice clean porter with a great chocolate accent. Somewhere between a brown and a robust porter, I really enjoyed this brew.

Sample on tap at the source. Slightly hazy deep straw color with a decent sized bubbly white head. Huge spicy earthy pine hop aromas are dripping off my nose with every breath as a I stick my snout deeper into my glass to further envelope my scenes. Holy shit thats not a typical hop profile for a pilsener, but damn I like it. Light cracker and bready maltiness is in there but the hops really shine here. The flavor offers a bit more maltiness with a hint of sweet bread but the hop flavor again shines through. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. I enjoyed the hell out of this beer, not a typical pils, I heard the brewer say amarillo and then I got lost in this beer. I wish I could have taken a bottle or growler of this home to enjoy a bit more.

Sample from the source Pours a slightly hazy light golden or dark straw color with a smallish bubbly white head. Aromas of light grainy crackery pilsner malt, a hint of floral and spicy hop and a touch of light fruit. The flavor is light crisp grainy light bready malt with a bit of spicy hop to counter. Light fruitiness and hints of sulfur. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation. Serviceable kolsch, I could drink a pint of this.

Bottle from the brewery Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a huge bubbly white head that leaves stickies all the way down the glass. Huge earthy resinous piney hop nose with just a hint of bread and caramel to back it up. Light tropical pineapple fruity hop aromas almost seem to clash with the rest of the nose. The flavor follows the aroma but the sweetness comes out a bit more. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Light astringency. Decent IPA that needs a few tweaks to be great.
