Description
It Doesn't Taste Like It Came From An Out House ...

The name came from friends in Massachusetts. Because our house was so far away from everyone we were named the Out.Haus. When I started labeling my homebrew, that was the name I decided to use.

I quit my full-time job on Friday, January 13, 2012 to focus all of my time and energy in creating a commercial brewery. After looking at various locations and out-buildings on the property I finally decided to convert part of the garage to the brewery.

16 oz can. Thank you Clark for finding this three year old can! Aroma is a honey and mild flower bouquet. The flavor has mild rustic green finished with soft ladies perfume. Actually incredibly good for how old it is!

Can (6/29/22) shared by ClarkVV--thanks, Clark! Cloudy dark yellow-light brown with cap of head and no lacing. Aroma is pine, spice. Taste is strong cinnamon, spices, oak. Smooth, silky texture, finish as taste. Not bad but not getting chamomile or wine barrel.

Canned 6/29/22, drunk 11/1/25. As pictured.
Spicy, clovey, floral, vegetal.
Sweet and sugary with vanilla and chamomile. Not getting the barrel but at least there is texture. Some bitterness and lots of fuzzy chamomile.

Can (3/15/23) pour shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris? It's a hazy amber with thin cap of beige head with poor retention and trace lacing. Aroma is toasted malt, mild nut. Taste is toasted malt, no sign of maple or nut. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with frothy texture, soft carbonation and crisp finish. Overall, should be interesting flavors but not executed well.

16oz. can. Old can. My mistake for not looking. Aroma is mild nuts, yeast. Flavor has a mild nutty hint. Thin malt body. Some sugar. Like a bad home brew. Jeez…

Canned 3/15/23, 5/27/23 drunk. Clear amber, small white head to ring. Smells like maple and toast. Oh boy... Maple, toast, ugh. Woody. Astringent. Yikes.

Can (3/30/22) pour shared by AirForceHops--thanks, Chris? It's a hazy golden yellow, no sparkle, no head. Aroma is strong tart fruit over malt. Taste is strong tart/sour fruit over malt base. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, what went wrong here? How did this get tart/sour? This isn't terrible but so wrong for the style.

Canned 3/30/22, drunk 5/27/23. Hazyish dark bronze. Small head It's sour. Doesn't matter if it's old, should not go sour. Cider, vinegar. Sweet malt. If this were a Berliner they would have killed it. But I'm not too into lactic maibocks. The maltiness is decent though.

16oz. can. Aroma is sour cider. Flavor is sour. Clearly is wasn’t kept cold. But.. a lager shouldn’t have to remain cold. Sour and comes off like a bad cider. Yikes WAY off…
