Description
It Doesn't Taste Like It Came From An Out House ...

The name came from friends in Massachusetts. Because our house was so far away from everyone we were named the Out.Haus. When I started labeling my homebrew, that was the name I decided to use.

I quit my full-time job on Friday, January 13, 2012 to focus all of my time and energy in creating a commercial brewery. After looking at various locations and out-buildings on the property I finally decided to convert part of the garage to the brewery.

16 oz can. Aroma is earthy grain, toffee, burnt bread. The flavor is mostly the same with a hint of clove. A tad spicy. (Black pepper-ish) Can’t find any banana. Very light body.

Can from Greg and Jane's Lightly hazy dark yellow in color with a good sized tightly bubbled white head that persists. Light spice earthy honey maltiness. Does chamomile taste like mild cinnamon? Cant find the wine barrel, nice brew though.

Taster pour on tap at NH Brewers Festival. Appearance is a hazy, pale yellow with a thin ring of off-white head, no sparkle or lacing. Aroma is vague floral and fruity hops/rhubarb. Taste is predominantly tart, with mild sweet, wheat and coriander. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and in the finish the tart dissipates, leaving a balanced sweet-tart with malt backbone. Overall, the tart quality dominates, which will appeal to the sour-loving crowd but overwhelms the base wheat beer. I am not in that crowd.

4 ounce draft. Flavor is mostly tart cherry purée. Yeast if you really let it warm. Pretty standard but no flaws or anything wrong. As it should be.

22 oz bottle. Near black appearance, thin head. Aroma is weak roast, faint caramel notes. The flavor has a very flimsy malt backbone. The hops are faint. Very weak pine bitterness. I think the brewer has the right idea here. Hopefully with some more practice this will be a decent recipe.
