Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed at Frank at Canterbury Camping and Caravan Club site Canterbury, Kent, Friday 11th March 2016 Pours black with a creamy off-white head, other than the way it settles it looked very much like a Guinness. This doesn’t taste anything like 8.5%. For the abv it is a little bit thin, I guess I am being unfair, but it does taste just a tad thin, however as it warms it improves. Displaying the usual attributes of a BIPA, i.e. some roastiness, fruity (citrus), bitterness (not so bitter though) it ticks the right boxes, but it is just a tad muted in many areas. Fine.
