Tap @ UBF 2015, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium white head. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, slight smoked pepper. Medium bitter in taste, decent malty backbone. Quite clean, just a hint of the smoked peppers. Very decent beer, I like it again.

Draught @ UBF 2015. Unclear orange color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, hops, smoke. Taste malts, hops, smoke, lightly fruity, balanced bitterness. Actually not a bad mix at all. Well done!

At a tasting, thanks, strong carbonation, small stable bubly head, hazy deepish orange color, aroma of sour bread with hints of plaster, sour bitter and a little strange fruity flavor, also some maltiness and diacetil creeping in. Not good.

Deep rich dark brown coloured body with hints of lighter brown coming in at the bottom with a ridiculously thick and rich but very large light brown head, about seven centimetres tall. Aroma of slightly astringent and nutty hops, some deep roasted malt, alcohol and quite a bit of bitter hop notes still. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong hop notes at first with even more roasted malt, some subtle vanilla and oak flavours and a nice sweet finish of cherries and a touch of milk. Aftertaste shows a good deal of hop bitterness coupled nicely with the roasted malt - but a slight astringency shows through. Overall, a nice black IPA that’s on the darker and chewier side, but a good beer to try and very happy I brought this back from Spain! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Beers & Beers in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain on 14-April-2014 for €2,40 sampled almost exactly a year later on 10-April-2015 on the day the Red Wings clinched a 24th straight playoff birth, sampled at home on the other side of the pond (and nowhere close to Hockeytown) in Washington.

Bottle shared by Julien, small sample. Hazy amber color, short head. Aroma is fruity, some citrus, bit caramelly malt. Decent bitter taste, fruity, citrus, tropical fruit, quite some caramelly and toffee sweetness as well. Bit out of balance and slight homebrew like, but quite enjoyable.
