Draft at Hotel. I was trying hard to like this, to find some redeeming quality, but alas. Cloudy medium brown pour, small, filmy head. Light toasted malt aroma, taste follows, getting sweet. There's an odd element in both the aroma and taste, i can't put my finger on it. But it takes this in a bad direction.

On tap at First Draft - Minneapolis, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with freshly roasted peanuts, with light roast and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, but with rather muted peanuts upfront, and a touch of cocoa. Pleasant flavours, but it's all rather muted and lacking punch. Decent.

A plethora? Hardly. Aroma wasn't too bad Coco dry roasted malt that was pleasant. But that was the best part of the beer. Body was a little thin. Flavor was on the sweet side with cocoa and a little malt. A forgettable beer.

I don't detect any hotson here at all except for maybe somehow by the slight bitterness that's present although that bitterness could be the result of most anything. The beer itself is a very Bland flavor. Aroma is also very Bland. Appearance has a small creamy but long-lasting head and a dirty dark amber color. A nondescript and totally forgettable beer and a choice only if everything else is worse.
