Bottle 330 ml. Aroma: spices, fruits, malts and plums. Taste: malts, caramel, fruit, spices, toffee, a little sherry, nice and very warming.

5th Feb 2016: 4th International Beer Swap in De Bierboom, Brugge. Lovely to see 4 beers from Spain this year and I managed to get a decent sized sample of all 4. This one came in 330ml bottle though, the others in larger ones. Copper/orange body, hazy on my pour, weak beige head that hung around and tried to leave some lacing. The aroma was a mixed bag of toast and marmalade with herbs sprinkled on: slight coffee/chocolate notes in there too. The taste followed the nose, fruity, orangey, herby and again with a mild coffee/chocolate flavour. Different, interesting and enjoyable.

Large sample from one of two big bottles being shared on 5th Feb 2016: 4th International Beer Swap at De Bierboom, Brugge. Interest take on a Brown Ale, right colour with a beige head, but rather too sweet with a caramel feel to both the aroma and taste. I like sweet, malty beers so not a major problem for me: a little unbalanced though, a little more hop presence would have helped to calm the sweetness some more.

5th Feb 2016: De Bierboom, Brugge. Shared from a bottle at the 4th International Beer Swap. Thanks whoever brought it. Strange shaped bottle, there was two of them, so we all got a good sized sample. Dark amber pour with a thin beige head. Malty nose with caramel notes intertwined with Sherry and Port traces, some herbal and spice traces also in the complex aroma. The taste followed along the same lines, semi-sweet from the caramel like molasses, yet with a mild tartness from the aging and Wine traces, spices flavours added to the interestingly flavoured beer. Hid the alcohol very well. One of the many highlights of the evening.

flesje gescoord van afgelopen zomervakantie ´15. nu pas geopend, maar ´t is een stout. schenkt zwart met minimale bruine kraag. aroma van mouten, chocolade, koffie, en geroosterde mout. smaken zijn matig zoet, matig (koffie)bitter, matig geroosterde- gebrande mouten. vanille, smooth,koffie, chocolade, droog, redelijke body, romig van textuur, lage co2, een beetje marshmallow tonen, verder een lange prettige en zoete afdronk. weinig mis mee... --- Beer merged from original tick of Popaire Tinta De Pop on 15 May 2018 at 15:28 - Score: 8

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A slightly hazy reddish amber pour with a thin cream head; sweet demerara sugar aroma; sugary taste with some spicy hops; and a sweet malty finish with a pleasant spicy warmth. An unusual style, rather like a Belgian Dubbel.

Pours reddish brown with tan head. Aroma is intense: coffee, chocolate, smoke, walnut, tobacco, caramel. Creamy, mouth-filling, round and balanced. Long finish. Very good.
