On draft at Thirsty Bay. Pours a dark cola with a tan head. Aromas of cocoa and dark chocolate. Flavors are sweet cocoa with some bitter roast. Nice.

Very hazy golden and straw yellow coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall off-white head that's creamy and stays afloat for a long time. Aroma of straw, grass, flowers, light citrus fruit and a good deal of bitterness from some hops. Medium-bodied; Fairly creamy mouthful with a nice malt backbone with some wheat and yeast notes along with a herbal and grassy characteristic, with some flowers, hay, grass and perfume noticeable as well, with some sweetness at the end from the fruits. Aftertaste is crisp, grassy, floral and showing some nice pungent floral characteristics with a good balance with some noticeable malt and wheat aspects and a touch of sugars throughout and some additional alcohol that's picked up at the end. Overall, a pretty nice and robust New England IPA that's hazy, citrusey, grassy and floral with a nice dose of sweetness and complexity, especially for the style with some typical flavours, but a nice pungency that makes for a nice beer throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California on 07-March-2022 for US$3,75 sampled in my hotel room here in [downtown] San Francisco, California on 08-March-2022.
