Odense Catching Up on Stuff Left in the Cellar Event July 2012. Near black with a lasting tan head. Aroma of toffee, chocolate and dried fruit. Sweetish toffee and chocolate flavour with a faint meaty smoke note, and a touch of charcoal

Post Borefts I Invasion of Fonefan and Charlottes room tasting! Clear gold beer. Crisp dry lagerish malt. Elevated from the crushingly average by a little fruit and well hidden alcohol. Dry finish.

Post Borefts I Invasion of Fonefan and Charlottes room tasting! Slightly hazy amber beer. Light tangy tea flavoured malt. Very subtle hop in the finish. Inoffensive. Unremarkable.

Post CBC in the Hotel - ’Oh crap I have bought too many bottles again’! Hazy amber beer. Good white head. Light semi dry palate. Mild tea like malts. Good floral hops - Motueka? More tea like malts and mild minerals in the finish. Would be a very decent beer if the malts were straightened out.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120331]

Pours dark brown with a smooth white head. Aroma of toasty roasted malts, vegetables, fruity hops and chocolate. Taste is slightly roasty and messy with some hints of vanilla, fruits and chocolate. Finish is smooth and slightly roasty. Decent, but a bit unbalanced.
