Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza (9%, Woodford Reserve version). It pours opaque dark born to black with a tan head. The aroma is rich, sweet, sticky, toffee, fudge, bourbon, vanilla, rock road and caramelised sugars. The taste is rich roasted malt, oily, chewy malt, bourbon, dark chocolate tart, toffee, fudge, millionaire’s shortbread and some warming alcohol through the finish. Medium – full body and fine carbonation. A very nice bourbon barrel aged stout.

Can thanks to Jules. Pours a hazy gold with medium frothy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is strong dank, grapefruit, resin. Medium body, juicy, earth, dank, grapefruit, nice bitterness, very good.

Tap at BeaverEx 2017, London. Colour is black with small brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Bourbon, dark chocolate and roasted malts. Pretty soft but easy.

(thanks for sharing!) Sampled draft @ The Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. Day 2. Black. Nose is amazing bourbon syrup, candy, sugar, cake, diabetes. Taste is pure alcoholic chocolate bourbon sugar syrup, massive bourbon & chocolate, this beer rules.

(thanks for sharing!) Sampled draft @ The Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. Day 1. Dark brown, black, little tanned. Smell is too herbal, cacao, mocha, vegetable roast. Taste is oddly vegetable, bitter roots, heavy roast, cacao. Thick bitter chocolate. Quite a mess, not really what I look for in a RIS.

Tap. Darkest brown color with beige ring. Aroma is bourbon, vanilla, toffee, caramel sauce. Taste is bourbon, vanilla fudge, chocolate, caramel. Thick mouthfeel, low carbonation. Great!
