Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy pale amber, minimal head. Lemony nose. Creamy full malty body. There certainly aren’t double hops here. The malt is there, but lemony cranberry juice comes in the way. Tinny finish. An excellent place, cosy environment, good service, good food - if only the beers were good too..

Draught at the brewpub. Strange reddish, small head. Sweet with light cranberry flavour and medium body. Fruity with very low hop rate and no bitterness. Not sure if this is intended as a fruit beer or not.

Draught at the brewpub. Black with off-white creamy head. Aroma of spun sugar and tobacco. Sweet with some crystalized sugar and surprisingly little roasty flavours - sugar and crystal malttakes its place. Very mild and gentle, quite unexpected for a stout, but with it’s soothing mildness it’s still quite enjoyable.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy pale golden, small head. Vaguely malty with a touch of vanilla and lemony notes - possibly from a beginning infection. The very low hop rate leaves a lot of room for the lemon to dominate. No bitterness. A let down.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy brownish amber, small head. Metallic nose. Sweet and caramelly with light-medium body. A bit sticky despite its hard crystal malt profile. A touch of dried plums. Low bitterness.
