Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy deep copper pour, huge frothy off-white head. Long lasting, excellent retention. Thick lacing on the glass as it goes down. Really nice on the nose, strong hop character, lots of fruity tropical notes, herbal background. Medium body, soft to medium carbonation. Regular texture, smooth mouthfeel. Mildly bitter taste, nicely balanced. Grassy and fruity hop aroma. Tropical fruit, notes of mango and citrus, orange peel. Spicy herbal afteraste, malty background. Slightly dry mouthfeel. Medium lasting finish, mildly bitter. Overall, good thirst quencher.

Feb. '17. A 0.5 l bottle from Mali Ducan, Split. It poured a hazy golden body with a small head. Pineapple aroma, caramel, some spicy herbs and biscuit malt. Flavor was very pleasant, bitter lemony, fruity, lightly sweetish, with ordinary barba baseline maltiness and distinct yeasty/malt chalky combo, Medium, even fuller in body with moderately long finish. . I liked the chinook version better, but this was also very nice and a pleasant tweak to already well executed APA.

On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Hazy dark golden to light amber, small to medium creamy off-white head. Lightly to moderately hoppy, candy or honey, perfumed sweetish aromas, fruity, might be slightly buttery . Sweet, light spicy hoppy background. Candy and perfumed flavours are pleasant, but didn't expect them in this style. Smooth, creamy, medium body. Abrupt finish with a dry touch.

Jan. 17. On tap at Leopold's. Later bottled, 0.5 l. It poured a hazy golden body with a small to medium head. Light chinook aroma, some citrus and herbs plus spicy with very light biscuit-bready malty note underneath. Flavor was bitter, especially at first. Hop character that aroma suggested was wholly retained here and nicely blended in with the mentioned malty note. Medium body with a pleasant, longer finish. Quite fine, although meant as an upgrade of the regular Barba pale ale, which is good itself, it turned out better on a completely new level.

On tap at Craft Room, pours a hazy copper orange with a huge foamy white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, light metallic notes and biscuity malt. Flavour is big on the chewy resinous hops, with a sweet caramel malt to back. Chewy and creamy on the mouthfeel. Very good.

Tap at Craft Room. Full golden-amber body, hazy, with a creamy white head. Hop-forward aroma, full and fruity, some herbal touches on a sweetish caramelly background. Fruity, peachy and tropical hoppiness, creamy full malty body, without being excessive, solid bitterness, herbal in profile, going into a soft finish. Not as thrilling as the Imperial at first, but a very, very good go at the style nonetheless!

Golden color, with a small white head. The aroma is fruity hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Taste is malty, with again the fruity notes of the hops. Medium bitterness, very well balanced and enjoyable. Medium carbonation. Very easy to drink, you would drink more and more. Nice beer.
