Not really too IPA like in appearance, imperial or otherwise. It’s a fairly murky light brown with a small light head. Aroma of caramel malt, grapefruit and orange peel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Drank at the Split “Granny Flat”. Dark brown with a ring tan head. Aroma of overripe dark fruits, plums, chocolate, and light roast. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Really fruity but pleasant and different.

Bottle, 0.33l. Black pour, one finger frothy beige head, short lasting. Minimal lacing on the glass. Sweet on the nose, some fruity notes in the background, mildly roasted. Light body, average carbonation, lively. Smooth mouthfeel, soft but watery texture. Easily drinkable. Sweet taste balanced with mild bitter roasty notes. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dried fruits. Coffee, chocolate, nuts. Nice, but a bit thin and mellow. Short lasting finish, dry. A bit watery but not bad.

Tap at The Daltonist. Lovely coppery red body, off white head, small. Dried fruit and some caramel in the aroma, sweetish. Dry caramelly notes in the taste, otherwise creamy, again with some dried berries, orange jelly notes, ending in a good herbal hop kick. Well well well. This is a spot on bitter, actually, as Ogi said, more bitter than a bitter usually is! Have to admit, this is a very well made beer!

Tap at The Old Hat, Split. Full golden body. Hmm... plummy citric aroma, slightly heavier than expected, but fine enough. Citric, peppery okay, taste, drinkable, very light banana touches. Quite okay overall, a simple, drinkable golden ale for the crowds that neither thrills nor particularly disappoints.

0,33 l bottle, a sample from Cro Craft. Murky dark brown, minimal head. Aroma has a lot of coffee, cold brew coffee, dark malts, some fruit, some chocolate, no prominent roasty character. The body is not like a stout at all, seems like a thin brown ale. Carbonation a bit high. Coffee is there, earthy undertones, not much there. No sweetness, no bitterness, some tartness and a dry finish. Watery. A miss.

On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Murky dark brown with beige head. Odd aroma, bit odd chemical aroma, watery, some vague coffee, caramel, malty. Sweetish. A mess really.
