Appearance: clear gold with a large white frothy head of medium retention. Aroma and taste: pale malt, grass, spicy notes, some DMS, fruity hints. Light sweet and bitter. Mouth feel: light to medium body. Average carbonation. Overall: not awful.

500ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a rocky white head. Aroma is grain and butter. Taste is medium sweet, malt, butterscotch and grain. Almost no bitterness in the finish. Nothing Czech about it.

500ml bottle. Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is malt, grain and butter. Taste is light sweet, watery, grainy. Light bitter finish. Tastes like your typical adjunct pale lager, although there are no adjuncts in the ingredients.

500ml bottle from a Ossetian pie joint in Moscow. Within the three-month drink by date. Pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Aroma is buttery, grain, malt. Taste is light sweet, buttery, grassy. Light bitter finish. Light bodied. Typical southern Russian beer.

1.5 litre PET bottle from Bliznetsy in Moscow. Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is malt and white bread. Taste is malt, bread, mushrooms, and lots of water. Low bitterness.

Bottled at Zappa Was Right tasting. Clear pale golden, coarse head. Mild grassy nose with some butter. Light bodied with rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Light flavoured with some dough and butter. Low bitterness.
