A reddish burgundy ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, loads of sugar beet juice and light caramel malt with, light acidity. In mouth, like a borscht, loads of sugar beet juice, earthy character, nice and smooth. On tap at brewery.

Damn, infected batch at the Loon, which smells and taste sour gross. Other than that, a little fruity. A little sweet. A little yeasty. Thankfully the sourness does die down. Not much hops for a pale ale. Hope to try a fresh batch at some point, as I usually like this brewery.

Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a warm soapy head, decent retention and foamy lace. Hoppy nose with mild citrus and grass over the light grain. Fruity malts, again over the grainy notes with some hop bitterness in the finish. A nice hoppy blonde ale.

Slightly hazy amber with a creamy beige head, good retention and thick creamy lacing. Fruity nose with loads of different oranges and some apples. Not as orangy in the taste, but more of the apples with some sweetness in the middle and decent bitterness in the end. Light bitterness lingers. Quite a lot going on in here with the fruity malts and the hops that are quite well-blended.

Enjoyed at the Loon. Pours a hazy amber colour with a beige head, decent lace and hops particles floating around (not many, but bigger size than usual). Beautiful nose with citrusy hops over nutty malts. Hoppy tasting, but not crazy bitter, not too dry. Just right! Great original brew, just not an ESB with this much alcohol and hops.

Pours a dark brown colour with a beige-mocha head, good retention and some creamy lacing. Berry aromas over roasted malts. The taste starts off with coffee malts, then mild blackberries to finish with a mix of toasted malts and hoppy bitterness. A nice blend of a black IPA with some blackberry notes.

Can: Poured a bright golden color lager with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some minor lacing. Aroma of light cereal notes with hints of smoke and some residual sugar notes is pleasant enough. Taste is a good mix of cereal notes with some hints of smoke and light dry hoppy notes. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Interesting offering and more complex then I was expecting.
