Can from the brewery that pours a clean amber colour with a light-beige head, average retention with some nice creamy lacing. Caramel malt base with fruity notes and hints of hops. Flavours are the same with a light dry finish. Very easy-drinking, nothing special amber ale.

Can from the brewery on my first visit. Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a warm cap, average retention and some nice creamy lace. Fresh herbal hope notes over caramel malts and cereal grain scents. The taste is hoppy, but not crazy bitter. Kind of watered-down hoppiness with hints of grains in the backbone. Very light caramel as well. An easy-drinking session IPA with a nice balance of hops, cereal grains and caramel malts. Too bad the 6 different hops do not show up more in the flavours.

Can from the brewery on my first visit. Pours a light golden-yellow colour with a small white bubbly head, average retention and some foamy lacing. Mild grain aromas with some dry nose notes from the hops. Very smooth, kind of creamy mouthfeel. Some decent cereal grain taste balanced with hops in the finish. A nice dryness concludes. Had this one a few times at a restaurant in Hearst with food and went down very well. I kind of like this one.

Can from the brewery that pours a clean golden colour with a frothy white cap, average retention and lace. Mild cereal grain balanced between the light sweetness and grassy hoppiness. The taste is a slight more on the cereal notes side and less hoppy. Nothing too crazy, but a little refreshing normal blonde ale.

Can from the brewery that pours a dark brown colour with copper highlights. The head is warm beige, frothy, decent lasting with some nice thick creamy-foamy lace. Brown sugar smell with alcohol and some grainy-roasted malts. The taste is light with some of the roasted malts and notes of cereal grains. Almost an oat finish. Some mild nuttiness and hops in the finish. Not a bad brown ale and easy to drink for 6% ABV, but nothing outstanding.

Can from the brewery with an amber colour, warm frothy head, decent lasting with lots of creamier lacing. Diacetyl aromas of butterscotch and buttery popcorn. The taste has this as well, but not as rancid. Some mild hops come and save a little of this. So yes, better in the mouth, but not what I was expecting - and not one I would have again.

Had this one yesterday at a restaurant in Hearst, Ontario on my Northern tour and was quite good with the food, and my first experience. Today, visited the brewery. Pours a clean golden colour with a white cap, good retention and beautiful full lacing. Cereal grain aromas with hints of caramel and other sweetness. Almost like chocolate as well, but no dark malts in here. The taste is slightly sweet with the cereal grains and very light hops to balance things. Crisp, refreshing... and again, great with food. Does what it was meant to do. Kind of like an old school Pale Ale when hops were not big in these, so more like a blonde ale.

A hazed dark amber ipa with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light herbal notes, grassy resinous hops, OK. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with light grassy hops, resinous and piney, light grapefruit notes, treacle, rather British. On tap at Ottawa winter brewfest 2017.

Keg at Ottawa Winter Brewfest. Disclaimer: This event used plastic cups, which may have prevented my ability to fully appreciate this beer. Cloudy brownish amber, mid sized head. Fruity caramel aroma. Sweet and buttery with medium-full body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Buttery caramel and hay, notes of grapefruit peels. Resiny bitter finish.
