Description

Pours unclear blonde. Medium big, stable white head. Scent is BE yeast. Sweet impression. Banana. Same old. Taste is mildly bitter, very intense on the BE yeast. Sticky, sweet, very estery. Same old, 15 in a dozen beer that doesnt mallfunction, yet doesnt ever get even slightly exciting.

Pours dark, caramelly brown. Medium sized, creamwhite head. Scent is coffee , green pepper, not nearly as caramelly and basic as expected.
Taste is caramelly, sweetish, but with a roasty and bitter touch. Banana, faded chocolate. Fairly thin body , higher carbo. Still pretty basic in its base, but perhaps with a bit more roast , or even coffee addition ? Not great but decent !

15/VIII/24 - 33cl bottle, shared @ Bier Central (Gent), BB: 5/XII/24 (2024-737)

Pretty cloudy amber to orange beer, creamy irregular off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: super oxidized, caramel, honey, orange peel, more oxidation, sugary impression, cardboard, almonds, some Amaretto even. This beer has clearly not aged gracefully. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty start, caramel, sugary, sweet, very oxidized, pretty bitter touch, a bit fruity. Aftertaste: more oxidation, caramel, malty, sweet touch, lots of orange peel, almonds, marzipan, hoppy yes, but way too oxidized.

1/VII/22 - 33cl bottle @ DOK Brewing Fest (Gent), BB: VII/2023 (2022-822) Thanks to Bierridder_S for sharing the beer!

SLOW GUSHER ALERT!
Cloudy orange beer, big aery off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: wow, this is really bad, very dirty and unpleasant, chemical, lots and lots of band-aid. MF: very lively carbon, medium body. Taste: very dirty, chemical, unpleasant, dirty, rotting stuff, very bad. Aftertaste: dirty, very chemical, unpleasant, yuck, really really bad! Something must've gone horribly wrong in the making of this beer...

Cloudy blond to orange beer, big aery irregular off-white head, unstable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, yeast, coffee, a bit sourish, some banana. MF: way too lively carbon, medium to light body. Taste: oh my, that’s a lot of coffee all right... but also lots of band-aid, pretty chemical, more coffee, meh. Aftertaste: a bit smoky, roasted, coffee, chemical, very unpleasant, meh.

11.5 % abv and 46 IBU it says on my 33 cl bottle of Quadrum 12 obtained from Alexandre at Finest Belgian Beers. From the label it appears the beer was brewed in 2019 but I’m not sure, not proficient at reading Belgian. A Delerium snifter is is being used this early evening, I see a deep copper-colored body finished with a nice, settling head of creamy, light tan foam. I smell ripe fruit, yeast and grain. I lift the glass for a drink, hmm, pretty decent. Actually maybe better than that. Dates, whole grain bread, currants, malt and a bit of sweetness. I also get a hoppy bitterness, nice. A pleasant quadrupel, glad to have it.

Hazy blond colour, white foam. Lots of carbonation. Strange combo of coffee, grass, iron.
