Bottle 229/400, enormous thanks Ivan for sharing this with Elena and me! Well, now that's an unexpected tick, a 15.5% Belarussian smoked whiskey RIS in 2023. Well, this one has some age on it, from 2020 I guess. Brownish black body, off-white head - tiny. Enormous, sweet, pulsating peaty aroma, earthy touches, potato... I guess that came out front as it aged. Huge chocolate in the taste, but not without ginormous peat all over the place, ending with a solid dash of alcohol. Not in its prime perhaps, but definitely impressive! If I was a peathead, this would be over 4 despite that.

Appearance: Slightly fogged deep gold with a one finger tall off-white frothy head of decent retention. Aroma: Citrus fruits, herbs, somewhat catty, honey, white wine. Taste: Light sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Citrus fruits, herbs, somewhat catty, honey, white wine, pine needles, resin, light earth. lingering hop bitterness at ending and aftertaste. Mouth feel: Medium plus body. Average carbonation. Summary. Interesting one. Solid one.

Appearance: Foggy deep gold to light amber with a huge ivory-coloured rocky head of perfect retention. Aroma: Grapefruit, mandarin, resin, pine needles, some esters, spicy notes. Taste: Pretty similar. Light sweet, medium plus bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium body, average carbonation. Overall: OK old-school IPA.
