On keg at Brewdog Lothian Rd, Edinburgh. Appearance - pale golden with a neat lacy head. Nose - dried fruit, possibly sultanas. Hint of dried orange too. Taste - musty raisins, overripe figs. Mince pies. Palate - medium bodied and tangy throughout. Overall - challenging up front but long tangy palate makes it.

Bottle from eebria.com. Golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is light fruity and yeasty. Taste light sweet, slight yeasty. Light body.

Note : bottle sais 14 % ABV, rather than the 12.5 registered here. Pours nearly black, mild red glow breaks the total abscence of color. small tanned, but very creamy, and stable head. Smell is roast, tar, mild acidity -from the roastyness, I assume . Fruity undertone ( red fruits) Taste is surprisingly soft and mellow. Sweet, roasty, but not nearly as tar as thought. Bit harsh in alcohol, but certainly not sour, in contradiction to the scent. A very strong beer, perhaps simply to alcoholic ( i wonder why this is neccesary ) but quite good, to my own surprise. Taste is much better than the scent though

Bottle from Systembolaget. (16%) Dark brown with almost no head. Aroma of dried fruit, bourbon, caramel and some hints of oak. The same in the taste. Some warming alcohol in the finish. Not as "heavy" as expected. A nice one.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear bright pale red, minimal head. Vinegar nose with some tart cherries. Acetic and vinegary with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Vinegar and citric acid dominates. A light touch of cherries. Interesting, but edgy. Needs polishment.
