330ml Bottle (Pipes of Scotland, Uppsala) - Hazy copper red in colour. Yeast, earthy hops, raisins and plums in the aroma. Spicy and fruity taste with pepper, coriander, marzipan, dates and sultanas. A hint of aniseed can be detected in the finish.

On tap at Fermentoren during CBC 2015. Dark brown with a small head. Vinous aroma of dried fruit, some alcohol, yeast and malt. Similar taste. Quite heavy and sweet with alcohol in the finish.

Pours dark brown, almost black with a small head. Aroma of ripe fruits, berries, syrup, malts, licorice and spices. Taste is heavy, spicy and syrupy with loads of licorice, spices and berries. Finish is sweet and sticky with warming alcohol, licorice and spices. Heavy.

Draught @ Fermentoren. Aroma is mildish with ripe fruits. Also hints of licorice. Flavour has licorice, ripe fruits, alcohol and raisins. Nice, like a turbocharged Gouden Carolus Christmas.

Draught (Uppsala Beer Festival 2015) - Hazy golden in colour. Coriander is the first noticeable thing in the aroma, followed by notes of orange, grapefruit and lime. The taste is fruity, spicy and zesty with the coriander being noticeable but not overwhelming, alongside notes of orange, which are particularly evident in the aftertaste.
