500 ml. bottle shared at Gollem. BBF 15.07.2016. Black, little head. Nose, well everyone who smelled this said WOW as their first spontaneous reaction, pretty fun to watch, there is massive & massive peat in there, crazily peated with some iodine (low), there is some balance in the way of heavy smoke, low burned earth, huge burned plastic bacon. Taste is a balance between strong peat, burned soy sauce bacon, huge smoke, finish is burned earth, burned soy sauce. Raw finish, tad thin. Overall pretty decent, both extremes balance each other quite well but it is a bit too simple to really shine, quite crude as a beer, huge peat, huge burned platic etc.

Barwa niemal czarna, nieprzejrzysta, piana beżowa, dość obfita, przyzwoicie trwała, zaznacza się na szkle. W aromacie czekolada, kawa, lekka wędzonka. W smaku dość słodkie, wyraźne nuty kawowe, palone, czekoladowe, uzupełnione wędzonką, dość subtelną, ale jak najbardziej wyczuwalną. Goryczka średnia w kierunku wysokiej, nieco popiołowa, dobra treść, całkiem nieźle się pije, wysycenie niskie, piwo jest całkiem delikatne. Świetnie zbalansowane piwo, jest wszystko to, co być powinno, godne polecenia.

Butelka 0.5l (27.08.2016). Piwo o niemal czarnej, nieprzejrzystej barwie. Piana beżowa. obfita, drobna, ładnie zdobi szkło. Aromat w pierwszej chwili palony i czekoladowy, potem dochodzi leciutka nuta wędzona i ciut kawy. Wytrawne, ciut palone z nutą czekolady i wyraźnie zaznaczoną, palona i nieco gryzącą goryczką, trochę zalegającą. Piwo jak na prawie osiemnastkę całkiem lekkie w odczuciu z wyraźnym, słodkim finiszem, dość pijalne. Przyjemny FES.

Bottle @ home. Opaque black color, huge a bit fizzy beige head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, a distant hint of hop, wood, a hint of liquor. Taste malts, again some hops in the distance, milk chocolate, caramel, slight mocha, some wood and liquor, a distant hint of fruit tart, moderately bitter. Interesting beer, not a straightforward foreign stout but I don’t dislike it. Quite nice.

Bottle @ benzai. Black colour with a large beige head. Smells chocolate, roasty, coffee. Tastes roasty, coffee, watery. Taste is a bit of a letdown. Thin body, medium carbo.

Bottleshare at Lancaster Gate. Lightly hazy amber - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Soft palate, semi dry with modest fine carbonation. Soft earthy dark malts, some cream. Mild earthy bitterness. Trace of piney hops. Well buried fruits. Semi dry earthy finish. Could be a lot hoppier.

Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Slightly grainy pale malts, Tangy tangerine, somewhat insipid. Mellow citric peel. Tangy floralness. Light semi dry finish. A bit lame but just passes muster.
