500ml bottle from BeerGinVino. Gluten Free. Golden colour, bubbly white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, grain, citrusy. Taste is sweetish, malt, grain, some biscuit hints, with citrus and tangy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, citric bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Cast at the Shaking Hand, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, big yeast. The flavour is light bitter, with a smooth, light, slightly watery, medicinal yeast, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours almost black with a small cream head. Dark fruits to the fore in the aroma, plus traces of chocolate. In the mouth it has a creamy texture. Malts are the first flavour to hit the tongue, but dark fruits are very close behind, and become the mainstay. Hints of lemon and chocolate too, but overall not much happening. Swiggable, but somewhat boring.

Bottle online from The Natural Grocery Store. Pours black but with a very slight reddish hue and a medium sized creamy beige head. Aromas of strong vanilla, milk chocolate and sugar. Taste is more vanilla, milk chocolate and sugar with a touch of roasted malts. Thin to medium body and average carbonation. Not great would not buy again.
