The flavour is light bitter, with a smooth, light, slightly watery, medicinal yeast, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at Shrewsbury Arms, Stafford. Pours almost black with a small cream head. Dark fruits to the fore in the aroma, plus traces of chocolate. In the mouth it has a creamy texture. Malts are the first flavour to hit the tongue, but dark fruits are very close behind, and become the mainstay. Hints of lemon and chocolate too, but overall not much happening. Swiggable, but somewhat boring.
