750ml flip top bottle at home on 8th January 2025, shared with Margie. Poured my share (the Lion's share of course) into my huge Judas glass, Margie had a Westmalle chalice as her weapon of choice. Red hue to the brown body, beige crust on top. Nice 'Belgian' feel to the brew, yeasty, nutty and warming. This was a gift from Adam (or Tank as he's known), cheers!

Keg at the brewery. Aroma 8a sweet - dark fruit with some bitterness from burnt caramel. Clear dark brown. Creamy off-white head. Combines sour citrus with sweet figgy dark fruits. Underlying sweet malts are less apparent until the caramel in the finish. Light. Thin. Flat-fizzy carbonation. Long astringent finish. It may be me post-Covid because I am finding another beer sour... but am interesting lager.

Keg at the brewery. Aroma combines stone fruit and citrus. Hazy-opaque gold. Thin creamy white head soon recedes. Heavy bitterness with a sour edge. Citrus and vinous, with a woody streak. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent stuff. Big bitter SIPA. Increasingly impressed with Pilgrim's more recent brews.

Historic check-ins. I have it recorded both as Pilgrim Dark XXXX at OG 1040, and Pilgrim XXXX Mild at OG 1042. Maybe they are different beers?
