Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark brown to black and opaque. Fawn head. Nose - creamy chocolate and malt loaf. Taste - creamy chocolate with raisins this time. Still a bit malty loaf. Palate - light bodied, a little thin for the style, but good roasty finish. Overall - quite good.

330ml bottle from the brewery. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a light, watery, crisp, medicinal floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Not sure what hops were used here but they left a very unpleasant taste in my mouth.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is grainy malt, nutty, earthy, light floral hops. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a light, slightly watery, crisp, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. A little too light for me and over-carbonated too. Nice to try but I won’t be buying a case.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Poured a clear copper colour with a lasting frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is malt, nutty, light floral, woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, nutty, earthy, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A super classic English IPA and one of the best I’ve tasted. In this world of Hazy IPA’s and hoppy Pale Ales, it’s nice to go back to my beer drinking roots.

Bottle from Vine King, Weybridge. Imperial @ 6.8% LOLZ. Aroma of booze and dried fruit. Opaque cola brown. No head. Medium-heavy bitter. Some underlying liqourice sweetness appears. Boozy vinous sour edge. Almost tannin..Light-medium bodied. A tad creamy. Average carbonation. Astringent finish. From memory I think the original Stout is quite basic and workmanlike. It's therefore taken on flavour from.the aging but that almost overpowers the Stout itself. for 6.8% seems more boozy than it actually is.

Many thanks to Mark. Smooth mild with a fantastic malty Ale characteristic. Smooth mild, moderate bitter, nice dry with hints of hazelnuts and dry roasted malts. Very nice!
