1l bottle via Jens. Dark brown with a frothy, beige head. A smoky aroma promises charred grains, tobacco, toffee. Taste is roasted bitter over a sweet chocolate base. Medium bodied, moderate to mild carbonation. Lingering charred bitterness and sticky toffee. Goes down easy. Nice one.

1 liter Bottle via Jens. Brown with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma promises toasted fresh grains and caramel. Taste is toasted bitter. Finishes with a caramel and cereal sweet undertone almost completely covered by a noble hops bitterness reminiscent of a German pilsner. Medium bodied, chewy, moderate carbonation. Rich, fresh feel. Above average Dunkles.

Unclear golden with a big fluffy head. Lots of grain, hay, malt, bread, some dry citrus. Grainy sweetness, dry bitterness. Medium bodied, chalky texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry grainy strawy bittersweet finish. It’s a tasty brewpub beer, surprisingly, no diacetyl to be found here.
