Bottled. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is smoked wet wood as well as some malty and hoppy notes. Flavour is mild saltwateryness combined with smoked wet wood and some breadyness. As it gets warmer some slight notes of tar lurks in the background.

generally a very nice beer, but still it lacks some sort of coordination. i blind tasted it, and thought it was some sort of really weak stout. anyways - okay beer, but don’t expect style extravagance.

500ml bottle, thanks to Skinnyviking. Beige, bubbly foam topping a devil-black body. Vague dark malty to the nose. Overall dry malty taste with a peaty touch. Cheese and wood also play a part in the flavour. Rounded palate and quite easy going (shared with Finn A., 29.05.2008).

Bottle. A hazy, dark orange to brown beer with a big, dense beige head. Caramel, some roasted malt and fruity notes in the aroma. The flavor is sweet and with caramel up front, then there’s only fruityness and bitterness. Medium body, quite effervescent. The finish is mostly bitter, but with some sweetness. Not the typical Danish Classic, but not bad either. There’s just nothing interesting about it, unless you compare to other classics. (080412)
