Bottle. Pours clear golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and hops, with notes of spice (aniseed? cloves?) Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of malt and yeast and touches of aniseed. Mild, bitterish and aniseedlike afteraste. Drinkable but not typical of the style.

Small bubbly shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet spiced, sweetgale, heather, caramel malts, raisins, soda powder, sorrel, fruit salt, hints of mild vinegar. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, soda powder, sorrel, minerals, grass, lemon, sweetgale, heather, sour winegum, citrus peel, caramel malts, hints of mild vinegar. Medium bitterness, slightly sour-ish mouthfeel. Nice enough, interesting.

Bottle, 6.5%. Malty aroma, a little crystal malt. Clear copper colour. Very small frothy white head. The flavour has a caramelly maltiness. Unclean fruitiness. Decent bitterness, but a little rough.

Bottle, courtesy of MiP. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and cinnamon, with fruity notes and touches of hops. Sweet-sourish flavour of fruit, yeast, cinnamon and caramel, with malty notes. Touches of hops. Acidic aftertaste with estery notes. Drinkable but the acidic notes are a little too intense (and no, the beer is not off).

Bottle, DØE Julefrokost @ Aarhus Bryghus. Pours dark amber with an small offwhite head. Aroma of malt, yeast, caramel, lots of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, brune kager. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, heavy spicy, cinnamon, some coriander, cookies. Medium body, soft carbonation, sweet and spicy finish. Very overdone on the spice. 161215
