Pours very dark brown. Decent, noticable creamy, slightly off-white colored head. Higher than average stability. Scent is very refined. mild dark malts ( dark bread, notes of chocolate) not roasty though. More hoppy than average for the style. Not as powerfull on the breadyness as I've enjoyed in other samples. Taste is indeed a touch more bitter than i'm used to in the style. Fairly creamy, tad dark malts. Medium to medium high carbo. medium thinbodied. Slight roasty finish. And just by this point I realize the beer is not a Dunkel, but just called Dunkel (dark) for it's color. Indeed, as a sweet stout, it makes far more sence, even though it's not as roasty as I would have though in that category. It truly, before knowing the actual style, reminded me more of an English old Ale I've had past year in the UK. Slightly metallic aftertaste (just a hint) . very decent beer, but too bad it's not a dunkel, as I was lookin' forward to one.

Süffiger, mild herber Beginn. Der würzige Apfel bleibt hinter der Herbe zurück, bringt aber Vollmundigkeit und einen typischen, wenig süßen Hintergrundton. Spritzig, weich, harmonisch. Weicher, würzig herber Abgang, moderat bitter, langer Nachhall. 10/11/11/11/9/11

Leicht erhöhte Karbonisierung. Trockener, würzig getreidiger Beginn, deutliche Bitterkeit, frisch. Herb-bitterer Mittelteil, nussig, konstante milde Hopfigkeit. Langer, würzig getreidiger Nachhall, weiche lange anhaltende Bitterkeit. Gut! 8/11/12/11/9/11

Bottle. Hazy golden, low head. Light candyish banana nose. medium body, dry, a bit dusty. Mineral, light spicy - clove, banana aroma. This ist what foam candy with weissbierflavor would taste like.

33cl. Round and refreshing grainy. Slightly red malty sourish, red fruit with a smooth grainy sweetness.

33cl. Fruity spicy beginning. Herbal floralness with an interesting yeast aroma of funky spices. Not too deep at all, refreshing and grainy in the end with hints of bitterness.

33cl. Smooth grainy beginning. Easy to drink, very soft, smooth and mild. Not too intense, soft and full-bodied. No typical Weizen aroma there, soft and smooth sessionable brew.

33cl. Grainy smooth beginning. Brown sugars, not much bitterness, slightly brown grainy, sugary brown ending. Not too sweetish though.
