Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Kew Village Market. Pours deep reddish-amber with a thick, creamy khaki head. The nose holds burnt leaves, toasted grain, dried berries. Light sweet flavor with assertive leafy bitterness, some grass, grainy toast, some dry minerals, beat-up leather, earth. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Somewhat dry on the finish with a kiss of flinty minerality, more leafy hops, toasted grains, brown bread. There’s a fairly prominent hop profile packed into this relatively slender 3.9% frame. That said, the beer manages to strike a pretty healthy balance. Fans of British hops will find lots to love in this one.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Kew Village Market. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy white head. The nose suggests a simple pale malt structure, with lightly baked cereal, pale bread, some citrus fruits, hay. Lightly sweet flavor with a pleasantly grassy bitterness, crispy pale malts, some biscuits, dry straw, lemon rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Decent balance in the finish with further crispy pale bread, bitter grass and rind, some grains. Nice white bread and tangerine in the aftertaste. Good effort right out of the gates.
