Sampled at 8th Danish Ratebeer Gathering, Ulfborg 2015. Bottle. Cherry aroma, but I have already seen three guys die after tasting it. Insane burning chili in the taste makes it totally undrinkable. Why, just why?

Bottle from the meadery
Measured Gravity: 1140
Hazy golden color. Strong aroma of honey, honeycomb. As the gravity measure suggests, it’s extremely sweet; too direct honey flavor.
Too much to be drinkable, although it doesn’t taste bad; I should use it in a cocktail.

Bottle from the meadery, best before 01.01.2015; 17% ABV
Measured Final Gravity: 1144
Hazy golden color. Strong aroma of honey, honeycomb, wax. As the gravity measure suggests, it’s extremely sweet; too direct honey flavor. Maybe because of the ABV, it seems slightly less sweet than the Odin Gold.
Too much to be drinkable, although it doesn’t taste bad; I should use it in a cocktail.

Bottle, pours a clear golden orange with no head. Nose is extremely syrupy with loads of honey and lots of sweetness. Flavour is extremely syrupy and honey-like, with a viscous palate - not quite as cloying as the Odin Gold, but still very much so. Good mead, with medium complexity.

Bottle, pours a clear golden orange with a tiny head. Aroma brings out lots of honey - hard to come up with anything else to describe this - medium sweetness it seems. Flavour is excessively sweet and thick, with syrupy thick honey. Wow is this viscous and sweet - never had such a mead before. Almost like drinking honey. Too much for me, but it's nice in very very small quantities.
