Description
Op de grens van Groot-Bijgaarden en Sint-Ulriks-Kapelle staat een hoeve waar boeren en brouwen tot op de dag van vandaag gecombineerd worden. Tot voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog was dit in het Pajottenland de gewoonste zaak van de wereld, maar sindsdien liet men overal de boerenstiel voor wat hij was en concentreerde men zich enkel op het brouwen van lambik. Niet zo op de Lindenberg, daar zet de familie Girardin deze traditie al vier generaties verder.

Tasted as part of the 101% gueuze tasting, led by Raf. My least favourite of the base lambics, really could not drink this. Some sourness, some sweetness, and something bitter, but the end result made me think of vomit. Different from the Uli one.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours cloudy deep red with a thin shortlasting pink head. Aroma is pretty fruity up front, red wine-like, some marzipan, slight lacto, strawberries, cherries, redcurrant. Taste is pretty dry, sour cherries, lactic, pretty tart.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark red with a medium pink-ish head. Aroma has SWEET raspberries, syrup, sugar, red fruits and slightl yeast. Taste is very tart compared to the smell, very soft but strong tart, good amount of sour, unripe fruits, red fruits and a very dry finish.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin (!) white head. Aromas of citrus, green apple, vinegar, orange peel, grass, yeast, stale and straw. Taste is mildly tart, bittersweet, straw and grass. Mild orange, citrus and grapefruit.

Shared at Dangerous Bottleshare #8. Thanks to Bursprak for this! Pours light hazy dark orange with a thick white head. Aromas of green apples, vinegar, hay, brett, sugar, citrus, cheese. Taste is green apples, sweet sugary notes, hay, cheese, citrus.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours clear, light amber with a small white head. Aroma has lots of green sour apples, the classic but not as complex girardin funkiness to it, grapey, vinegary. Taste has the same sour green apples, tannic, vinegary, barnyard.

Bottle @ Himmeriget. Pours dusty orange with a medium white head. Aromas of mould, citrussy, lemon peel, light vinegar, barnyard. Taste is vinegary, mouldy, citrussy, lots of hay, tannins, grapes.

Gravity bag @Le Fleur en Papier Dore in Brussels. Deep dark bloody pour no foam whatsoever. Nose: macerated sour cherries and stable. Crazy. Mouth: flat easy going lambic with a cherry pinch and a moderate tartness (quite hidden).
